Meet for dinner at 6:30 pm at the South Park Bar & Grill,
(973) 744-0402, 130 S. Park St., Montclair. It is recommended that
you park easily in the available IC church lot on the corner of
Munn and Park Sts. and walk two blocks across Bloomfield Ave. to
the restaurant. Before dinner, you may like to attend the 5:30
pm mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 30. N. Fullerton Ave., Montclair.
Movie Social for Catholic Singles
Saturday, June 8
Gather together to watch the wonderful Academy Award-nominated
film Brother Sun, Sister Moon which was co-scripted by Lina
Wertmuller and Franco Zeffirelli. We¡¯ll be screening the film
in the IC Catechetical Center, 1 Munn St., Montclair, adjacent to
the church at 30 N. Fullerton Ave. with discussion and time to socialize
afterwards. Bring movie snacks and beverages if you¡¯d like. Admission: FREE.

film experience, this 1972 film focuses on the early years of Francis
of Assisi, who sought communion with the natural world by renouncing
his family¡¯s riches to seek his own destiny unencumbered by material
possessions. Francis was, in a sense, history¡¯s first ¡°drop out"; he left a life of comfort to seek a spiritual union with the world.
The Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Spend a nice spring afternoon outdoors in a beautiful setting
walking along the trails and enjoying the trees and gardens of the
Frelinghuysen Arboretum, (973-326-7600), 53 East Hanover Avenue,
Morris Township. Meet at 2 pm in the arboretum parking lot off
of Hanover Rd., across from the Morris County library. Admission
to the arboretum is FREE... and there¡¯s a boutique gift shop and
indoor restrooms. Afterwards, we¡¯ll go out for dinner at Durkin's.

at 10:30 am at the Family Style Restaurant, Ocean Ave., Point Pleasant.
Bring along your sun / swim gear, lotion, blankets, chairs, Frisbees, etc.

Meet at IC Church by Teg. Hall at 1:15 pm (following 12:15
mass) to carpool to picnic spot at Codey Field at Orange Rd. and Draper Terrace, Montclair. Enjoy games and lots of fun! Admssion: FREE. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and beverages provided. Please bring a dish to share (appetizer, salad, side dish, or dessert). You may also want to bring any balls, mitts, bats for team events.

Look for our group to be sitting on the left facing the tent / stage. Bring your lawn chairs / blankets / snacks / beverages / picnic dinners. Concession stands available. Parking: pay $2 for on-site parking from Watchung or Bellevue Aves. Or park for free on Grandview or Dryden off of Grove St. then walk past the tennis courts. Brookdale Park runs through Montclair, Bloomfield, and Glen Ridge and is bordered by Watchung Ave., Grove St., Bellevue Ave., and Broad St. It is recommended to use Garden State Parkway Exit 151 (Watchung Ave.).
