Confirmation of Youth at Immaculate
Saturday, June 10
At the 5:30 pm mass young parishioners will receive the Sacrament of
Confirmation. For the past few years, ICSA members have assisted with
the reception that follows outside on the church portico. Meet at 5:45 pm.

volunteer for setting up and serving the refreshments. Afterwards, we'll go out for dinner.
Belmar Beach / New Jersey Seafood Festival
Sunday, June 11
After the 9 am mass at IC meet outside Tegakwita Hall at 10 am to carpool to
Belmar's Silver Lake Park, Ocean & 5th Aves. Listen to jazz & blues, taste
wines, browse crafts, eat great seafood specialties, relax on the beach.
Pack your sun / swim gear, blankets, chairs. Raindate: June 25 for beach only.

Join us in the auditorium at the Montclair Public Library, 50 S. Fullerton Ave.,
(973) 744-0500, before 7:15 pm to watch the 1934 Paramount film "She Done Him
Wrong" starring Mae West and Cary Grant. Admission: Free. Afterwards, we'll

Dine at 6 pm with friends in a cosmopolitan atmosphere at the Chelsea Grille,

At dinner we'll choose a nearby theater and movie. Meet at restaurant around
7:30 pm if joining us for movie only.
New Jersey Jackals Baseball Game
Tuesday, June 20
Enjoy a minor league game (vs. the Waterbury Spirit) at the Yogi Berra Stadium
on the campus of Montclair State University. You may follow signs to the
stadium from MSU campus entrance, Normal Ave. and Valley Rd., Upper Montclair,
or from Rt. 46E onto Valley Rd., Little Falls. Meet at 6:45 pm outside the
ticket booth for the 7:10 pm game. Cost: $3 - 6. Raindate: June 21.

Madame Butterfly / Met Opera in the Park
Friday, June 23
Celebrate the first TGIF of summer 2000 in Brookdale Park.
Listen to the Metropolitan Opera perform Puccini's "Madame Butterfly"
beginning at 8 pm. Bring lawn chairs / blankets / snacks / beverages.
Concession stands available. We will gather around 7:30 pm in our usual
location towards the left when facing the stage within the field track near
the bleachers. Parking: pay $2 for on-site parking from Watchung or Bellevue
Aves. OR park for free on Grandview or Dryden off of Grove St. then walk past
the tennis courts.
Intercessors for Life
Saturday, June 24
Gather from 8 am - 10 am for a prayerful ecumenical gathering near the Social Security building
on Bloomfield Ave. across from an abortion clinic in Monclair. Afterwards, ahre breakfast at
a local eatery. Every last Saturday of the month, the singles from Intercessors for Life are present
to save the unborn.
Amicus/SingleZ Sizzling Summer Sensation Dance
Saturday, June 24
Come to what Alan G. calls "the coolest of cool events in the hot summertime"
from 7-11 pm in the Sacred Heart School Auditorium, 683 Bloomfield Ave.,
Bloomfield. Enjoy dancing to DJ music as well as ice-breakers, prizes, games.
Cost: $12. Sub sandwiches, snacks, soda, desserts. Suggested attire: casual & light.

Montclair Community Band Concert
Tuesday, June 27
Music begins outdoor at 7:30 pm in the Montclair High School Amphitheater,
Park and Chestnut Sts., Montclair. If it rains, concert will be held inside

Picnic Dinner / Rigoletto / Met Opera in the Park
Wednesday, June 28
Come out and relax in Brookdale Park, Montclair / Bloomfield, to listen to the
Metropolitan Opera perform Donizetti's "Rigoletto" beginning at 8 pm.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. See June 23 for parking details.
We will sit in our usual location towards the left when facing the stage
within the field track near the bleachers. To celebrate the beginning of the
concert season, we will enjoy a picnic dinner at 7:30 pm. Bring your favorite
appetizer, cold dish, or dessert to share.
NJSO Pop Concert / Fireworks in Brookdale Park Park
Friday, June 30
Kick off the holiday weekend listening to the New jersaey Smphoney Orchestra at 7:30 pm followed by
spectacular fireworks. Meet early at 5:30 pm towards the close left of stage near the bleachers.
Bring your lawn chairs / blankets / snacks / beverages. See June 23 for parking details.
Rain date: Friday of labor day weekend.
